The main use case I want here is being able to start copyq when my Xsession starts, when i do that I am not able to communicate with the running copyq instance. When using the same terminal, different instances of gnome-terminal or different instances of urxvt, it works seamlessly. Copy a file's contents into the clipboard: copyq copy < file.txt. Go to add copy q to startup (gnome) Restart Expected behavior Tray icon just like when copyq is started normally created a small script in /home/USERNAME/.config/copyq/delayedstartworkaround. Print the content of the first 3 items in the clipboard history: copyq read 0 1 2. Insert text containing escape sequences (' ', '\t') into the clipboard history: copyq add firstline secondline.
